Commercials director Vadim Jean was the man tasked with bringing Terry Pratchett's 'The Colour of Magic' to our screens for Sky 1 HD, and his impressive use of Visual Effects earned them a BAFTA nomination.

Bringing the expansive and fantastical 'discworld' to life took a mixture of studio and location sets, combined with elaborate post produced matte paintings to extend them seamlessly, and believably, into a reality.

Vadim wrote the screenplay for 'The Colour of Magic' based on the original novel, and Terry Pratchett himself gave the final film his seal of approval, granting his permission for The Mob Film Company to put yet more of his novels into production - the next of which will begin this year.
